Itinerary
Day 1 - Arrival to Marrakech
We meet you at the Marrakech airport and transfer you to the hotel, followed by free time for sightseeing.
Day 2 - Marrakech – Taliwine – Tislite
We leave Marrakech at 8 a.m., crossing the Tizi n'Test pass to reach the south side of Jebel Sirwa in the Taliouine Valley. We then walk along a trail through gorges and cultivated fields to reach our camp at Tislit (1,500 m). Approx. 2 hours of walking.
Day 3 - Tislit – Azib
A day of contrasts as we hike through the green valley of the Assif n'Ait Oubyal. We pass through many villages and have the opportunity to meet the locals. Above Tizgui, we ascend steeply to our camp on a summer grazing pasture (2,325 m). Expect 6–7 hours of walking, with 900 m of ascent.
Day 4 - Azib – Tagragra
Today we trek over the crest of Guiliz Peak (2,900 m), which offers splendid views of Jebel Sirwa, and then descend to our camp near the caves at Tagragra (2,600 m). About 5 hours of walking, with 500 m of ascent.
Day 5 - Tagragra – Siroua peak – Tissouitine
Our trek today takes us through a rocky landscape of steep gorges and boulders to the summit of Jebel Sirwa (3,305 m), from where we will enjoy wonderful views of the High Atlas and Anti-Atlas. We then descend back to our camp in Tissouitine (2,450 m). Overall, it’s about a 7-hour trek with 700 m of ascent and 800 m of descent.
Day 6 - Tisouitine – Tamlakoute
First, we make a short descent before climbing to cross a pass that leads into the Ighmour Valley. We walk through several villages and then descend to the fields of Tomalakout, where we set up camp. The day involves about 6 hours of walking, with 340 m of ascent and 840 m of descent.
Day 7 - Tamlakoute – Marrakech
We hike out through a rugged landscape on a short walk of around 2 hours to Tamazight. We then drive back across the Atlas (via the Tizi n’Tichka) to Marrakech. Overnight in a hotel, with dinner included.
