Day 1 - Fes - Ziz valley - Merzouga
Early in the morning, we leave for Midelt through the mountains and cedar forests of the Middle Atlas, passing Ifrane, a charming ski resort, and Azrou, an important handicraft center specializing in cedar wood. After crossing the Zad Pass (2,178 m), we arrive in Midelt for lunch. In the afternoon, continue to Erfoud via Errachidia and the Ziz Valley, dotted with palm trees, then proceed to the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi for the desert tour. Dinner and overnight at a hotel in Merzouga.
Day 2 - Merzouga - Erg Chebbi
After breakfast, embark on a grand tour of the dunes, passing by the oases of Merzouga, the wandering deposits, the village of Khamlia (village of the Gnaoua), the mines of Mifiss, and the flat desert where you may meet Berber nomads. Continue to the Tissardmine oasis and return to the hotel around 3 p.m. to prepare for your camel caravan. Enjoy a sunset ride on dromedaries and spend the night in Berber tents in the middle of the dunes. Dinner and overnight in the bivouac.
Day 3 - Merzouga - Dades gorges
Early in the morning, wake up to see the sunrise, then return by camel to the hotel. After breakfast, depart for Rissani and Erfoud to visit the fossilized marble workshop. Continue through the palm groves of Touroug and Tinjdad, arriving at the Todra Gorges for lunch. In the afternoon, drive to the Dades Gorges via Boumalne and the Dades Valley. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 4 - Dades gorges - Ouarzazate
After breakfast, return through the Dades Valley to the Kasbah of Ait Youl, then follow a track crossing the Rose Valley with its kasbahs and ksours, offering beautiful landscapes along the way, arriving at Kelaa M’Gouna. Lunch en route. In the afternoon, continue to the palm groves of Skoura and visit the Kasbah of Amredhyle, then proceed to Ouarzazate. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 - Ouarzazate - Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou - Marrakech
After breakfast, the day is devoted to visiting Ouarzazate, including the Kasbah of Taourirt, Tifoultout, and the cinema studios. Then drive to the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and visit the kasbah and the old village. In the afternoon, depart for Marrakech via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, arriving in Marrakech around 5:30 p.m.
